Anna Rodway

Creative Collaborator

ANNA RODWAY is a multi-genre writer, harnessing the power of storytelling across screen, stage and print. Anna is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts (Theatre Practice) and one-third of Green-Room Award nominated company Three Birds Theatre with whom she has written, performed and toured four works in the past four years, with another work slated for development this year. Three Birds is devoted to bringing female-focused stories to the stage and has swiftly gained recognition as exciting innovators of sharp, comedy driven theatre. With Three Birds, Anna has co-written and performed in Three Birds One Cock (Adelaide Fringe, Metanoia Mechanics’ Institute, Natimuk Regional Engagement, FRISK Festival), LadyCake (Poppy Seed Theatre Festival, Nati Frinj) Enter Ophelia (La Mama; NGA Engagement) and Will This Show Take Off? (Nati Frinj). Other recent stage credits include The Three Graces (Theatreworks dir. Katie Cawthorne), Fewer Emergencies (dir. Lara Kerestes) and The Chapel Perilous (dir. Tanya Dickson). Alongside her acting projects, Anna has recently been a writer in residence with Lonely Company and has completed screenwriting courses with AFTRS. Anna currently has a number of works in development including The One, a co-development with an LA-based collective and Saturday, a web-series alongside director Nina Buxton (Gristmill/Netflix).
